Monochromatic Magic

Two things that these stylish ladies have in common: enviable hair that I can't pull off and the successful execution of monochromatic outfits. The trick to a one-color ensemble is to tinker with the shades of a neutral/almost-neutral color (AKA, orange may not be the easiest choice). The outfit on the left has a varying gradient of tan, while the pants on the right have the perfect tinge of grey, which interrupts the stark white blouse and flats. I can't wait to try this with an navy ombré skirt and a paler blue tank. Which shade would you go for?

Loving the tan combination... that simple but chic blouse and those wedges! I seriously need those shoes.

P.S. I wouldn't mind having her legs either ha ha!

I'd be most likely to do this with brown shades, although I'm obsessed with black and seem to mix black and greys a lot.

I saved the left image too a while ago, that woman looks amazing and I love the casual outfit. The shade trick you're talking about really works. I'd go for the nude color shades I think...

So pretty! Who is the model on the left? She is gorgeous! And I saw a blog - think its called the man repeller - and she was doing insane brights and monochromatic and I was SO impressed! It's tough to do with anything besides white!

Great blog, love it!

Hope that you will drop by my site and leave some feedback if you get a chance!
